Il futuro delle reti: predire i problemi prima che accadano_
Esperienze di rete sempre più gratificanti per gli utenti (ci piace!) e sfide sempre più grandi per noi tecnici di rete (ehhh … ci piace anche questo…)
E di sfida davvero si tratta, con l'incombente nuova realtà delle reti, una quantità enorme di dati e un utilizzo massiccio delle app.
Network che richiedono nuove vie per continuare ad affrontare le criticità in modo efficace, veloce, sicuro e sostenibile anche in contesti di crescente complessità.
A questo proposito Cisco - di cui siamo partner - ha recentemente annunciato lo sviluppo delle tecnologie che rendono attuabili nuovi modelli di network predittivi, rilevando l'importanza (se non necessità) di poter adottare un approccio sempre più proattivo - piuttosto che reattivo - nella gestione delle reti del prossimo futuro:
"Networks have been reactive for 35 years, and the old ways of rerouting traffic and detecting issues after they have occurred is no longer enough. According to the World Economic Forum, the amount of data generated globally in 2025 is predicted to be 463 exabytes per day, every day. The sheer amount of business-critical data being created around the world is outpacing our ability to process it." Sistemi che faranno della mole di dati circolanti sulla rete un nuovo punto di forza poiché "imparano" dalle esperienze accumulate per poi auto-diagnosticare possibili istanze future, consentendo anche una maggiore automatizzazione delle soluzioni. E sempre più a misura d'utente.
"Cisco Predictive Networks gathers data from a multitude of telemetry sources. Once integrated, it learns the patterns using a variety of models and begins to predict user experience issues, providing problem solving options.

Certamente la concretizzazione del nuovo approccio si fonda sullo sviluppo delle tecnologie IT e ML, ma anche sulla consolidata storia di Cisco con decenni di analisi e ricerca, di ascolto delle richieste del mercato e dei tecnici, e di sviluppo di competenze specifiche.
Le nuove tecnologie Cisco Predictive Networks - già testate ed apprezzate - saranno via via integrate nelle soluzioni di rete Cisco.
